Jigsaw Education Group collectively refers collectively to Jigsaw Education Group Ltd, Jigsaw PSHE Ltd and Discovery RE Ltd which are all registered limited companies in England, UK, providing specific educational resources and training for schools.

Our role has not just been to provide resources/materials but also to impart information about the curriculum and educational wide issues to assist schools and teachers to provide help and support on an ongoing basis.

We know most education staff in the UK rely on being kept up to date about new educational products, services, news and information to help them in their daily working lives at educational establishments. The communications we send always have an educational benefit and are seen to be professionally and educational relevant, making them an important tool and benefit to schools and teachers.

We have been sending educational communications to schools and teachers for some time, and we do consider it important to keep our database of schools and teachers up to date. The communications we send are professionally relevant communications, and will always be relevant to teachers in a specific job/role, or because our records show they are the right person for a certain set of decisions based on factors like their working role, level of seniority and responsibilities.

The ‘at work’ contact information we might hold is: first and last name, work/school email address, job/role, past communications/correspondence, legal agreements (consents), Jigsaw Education Group training you may have received, responses to online surveys you participated in, sales information such as products your school has purchased from us. We obtain school contact details from conference/training events, exhibitions, marketing and promotions.

We process data in line with relevant laws including the UK’s Data Protection Act (DPA), the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The GDPR states that there are a number of methods we may use to legally process your data, we have chosen to process your data under Article 6(1) f – Legitimate Interest. In short, our legitimate interest in processing your data surrounds educational interest.

We endeavour to impart information about the curriculum and educational wide issues as well as our own training and conference events and other products in our portfolio.

We want to ensure that we understand and continue to respect the preferences of teachers and other contacts regarding these communications.
